Restaurant “Alte Poststube”
In our kitchen we use regional products, many in high organic quality and from producers following animal welfare standards: eggs or roast beef – the transportation routes are short and products remain fresh.
Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day and we offer our guests 9 different kinds of Ronnefeldt loose tea, Heimbs coffee, various Faller jams, scrambled eggs, sunny side up or boiled eggs, freshly cut cold cuts and different cheeses, salmon and not just for vegetarians: curd cheese, vegan toppings, cerials, Nutella, honey, tomato with mozzarella, cucumbers, yoghurt, dried fruit and fresh fruit salad.
We freshly toast rolls and croissants for you and for all those who prefer good German bread, we offer 3 types of whole grain bread, which is not only yummy, but healthy as well. Various juices, mineral water and fresh milk complete our breakfast offer.
Our breakfast hours: Monday through Friday: 7 to 10 a.m. | Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays: 7.30 to 10.30 a.m.
Should a feeling of hunger nibble or actually gnaw at you, we offer a small selection of dishes and snacks at dinner time as well – so whoever does not wish to go out, can simply stay with us.
This might be unusual at a bed & breakfast, however, seems logical to us in terms of hospitality.
Accordingly, you might choose from e.g. tarte flambee, pizza, schnitzel & fried potatoes or French fries, spaghetti with meat sauce, soup and a daily special. Some local specialties are also in preparation. Keep your eyes open to find the boss himself at the hob or at the barbecue in summer time. We ask for advance notice for groups of eight guests or more – thank you!
